Welcome to the beautiful north Georgia mountains and the whitewater shoals of the Chattahoochee River. Whether you are looking for a family getaway, corporate retreat or just some privacy…this is it. Nestled on 6 acres of heavily wooded private land with 300 feet of river frontage, River Shoals is a unique, luxury rental cabin on the Chattahoochee River, just minutes from Helen.
River Shoals cabin is not designed for large groups looking to host boisterous friends in a secluded location, or for thosse who hope to create a loud, party atmosphere. Although it is set on its own, private, 6+ acre lot, sound carries along the river and there are full-time residences along both banks. (River Shoals is the only rental cabin on this section of the river. For more details see our rental addendum.)
On the other hand, River Shoals is the perfect destination for a family reunion, a group of professional colleagues, or anyone looking for the opportunity to enjoy full modern amenities while also immersing themselves in the unspoiled, natural beauty of the Upper Chattahoochee.
Lose track of time while kayaking, trout fishing, gazing at the stars or just enjoying the sound of the shoals while lounging on one of the multiple decks in this bit of paradise. After a fun-filled day of outdoor activities, slip into the outdoor hot tub for more relaxation. This spacious 2-story, 4-bedroom cabin easily sleeps 12-14 people, and there are plenty of tent-camping sites as well. For those who want a little more adventure, or perhaps a chance to do some sight-seeing and shopping, the historic towns of Helen and Dahlonega, as well as the trails of the Appalachian foothills, are just a few minutes away.
Whether you want to spend the day outdoors or inside taking advantage of the host of modern amenities, everyone in your group will find something at River Shoals that draws them out of the hectic pace of everyday life into the slower rhythms of "mountain time."
Our hope is that you and your friends, family, or retreat group will take a little bit of that mountain spirit home with you, and that you will return to River Shoals again and again.
